Common questions about pricing and billing

Is there a free plan?: Yes. New accounts receive 10 signup credits, so you can try Epochal before subscribing.
How do credits work?: Credit usage varies by model and settings. You’ll always see the cost before you generate. Paid plans include credits that refresh every 30 days.
Can I switch plans or billing cycles?: You choose monthly or yearly (yearly gives a discount) when you subscribe. To switch plans or cycles after subscribing, cancel your current subscription and subscribe to the new one, or contact support for help.
Do my credits expire?: Subscription credits last 30 days and don't roll over. Extra credit packs last 90 days (Lite), 120 days (Boost), 180 days (Pro), or 360 days (Max). Signup bonus credits last 30 days. The nearest expiry for each type is in the credits menu at the top of the site.
Can I cancel anytime?: Yes. Cancel anytime from Billing. Your plan and remaining credits stay available until the end of the current billing period.
What happens if I run out of credits?: Top up with a one-time credit pack anytime, or upgrade to a higher plan. Pack credits are added to your balance right away and follow their own expiry.
Will I lose credits if a generation fails?: No. Credits are automatically refunded if a generation fails.
Why do videos cost more credits than images?: Video generation processes many frames per second, which needs far more GPU power than a single image. The exact cost depends on the model, resolution, and length — you always see the credit cost before you generate.
What if the listed price goes up later?: The price you check out at stays on that subscription for as long as it stays active. New checkouts pay the new listed price. If you cancel and subscribe again, or switch plans, you pay whatever is listed then.
